- Race predictions you submit
How We Use Your Data
- Name and email — account identification and login
- Email — sending race reminders and result notifications
- WhatsApp number — sending race reminders and result notifications via WhatsApp (only if you opt in)
- Predictions — calculating scores and displaying leaderboards
WhatsApp Opt-in / Opt-out
WhatsApp messages are sent only to users who have voluntarily provided their phone number and consented to receive messages. Providing your WhatsApp number is entirely optional.
Types of messages you may receive:
- Race reminder notifications (upcoming prediction deadlines)
- Race result notifications
- Prediction confirmation messages
Message frequency: Message volume is low — typically up to 2–3 messages per race weekend during the Formula 1 season.
How to opt out: You may opt out at any time by:
- Removing your phone number from your Profile page within the app
- Replying STOP to any WhatsApp message from us
- Emailing admin@f1tenthspot.com to request removal
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure, including Firestore (database) and Firebase Storage (profile images).
Third-Party Services
- Resend — for sending email notifications
- Twilio — for sending WhatsApp notifications
These services process your contact information only to deliver messages on our behalf. We do not share your data with these services for any other purpose.
No Selling or Sharing of Data
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or any other purpose.
